GAM Esports Faces Setback as They Prepare for the New LCP 2025 Season
Currently, the teams in the VCS (Vietnam Championship Series) are ramping up their efforts as they head into the LCP 2025 season, which is expected to be a crucial phase, especially with the goal set on securing a spot at MSI 2025. The GAM Esports team, despite facing significant challenges, is set to make a comeback after a disappointing start to the season. However, one of the stars expected to return, Emo, is facing a major setback as he will be unable to participate in upcoming matches due to personal issues.

According to the guidance from the organization based in Taiwan (China), Emo accidentally left his passport in the washing machine, causing a delay in his travel back to Vietnam to retrieve it. The timeline for his return is currently uncertain, and it is likely that Emo will miss at least the initial matches of the LCP 2025 Mid Season. This is not definitive, as there could be a possibility that Emo might miss the entire third week of GAM.

Fortunately for GAM and Emo, during these two weeks, only CBTC Flying Oyster will be their direct competitor, which may lessen the pressure on them. The remaining opponent they will face is Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS gaming, a team that poses a significant challenge given the current circumstances.
GAM Needs Emo to Create More Opportunities
Besides the external challenges, Emo’s presence is crucial for GAM to create more opportunities. Earlier in the year, after the replacement of Aress, Emo delivered impressive performances. However, as the team started to falter, Emo’s ability to help GAM change their trajectory was compromised.

The Mid Season 2025 will present a different opportunity for GAM, as they need their star player to have a chance to shine. In their opening match against Team SecretWhales, although GAM secured the victory, the audience was not entirely satisfied as the team’s performance was affected by Emo’s absence.
