The League of Legends Community Mourns the Passing of CKTG Champion
Recently, the global League of Legends community received sad news: the player Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak has passed away at the age of 36 due to cancer. He was a member of the League of Legends team Fnatic, part of the LEC region, and was the first player to win the World Championship title in League of Legends history. More importantly, Shushei was the FMVP (Finals Most Valuable Player) of the championship match and the owner of the FNC Gragas skin.
During a time when the League of Legends meta was not yet clearly defined and with the Fnatic roster from last year, people often reminisced about the legendary xPeke and his iconic backdoor play. However, few know that Shushei and xPeke frequently swapped roles in their matches as representatives of the LEC. And in that significant championship match, Shushei was not just a support player for Fnatic; he played a crucial role in their success.

Moreover, the 2011 World Championship was also a tournament where Shushei performed exceptionally well, greatly contributing to Fnatic’s prestige. He was also a mid-laner who frequently switched roles, but he remained a key figure throughout the tournament.
After winning the World Championship, Shushei and Fnatic had a decent performance the following year. However, due to internal conflicts, the FMVP of the 2011 World Championship left Fnatic in the summer of 2012 to join EloHell. Unfortunately, his career did not see significant growth, and this roster eventually disbanded in 2013.

The League of Legends Community Honors the CKTG Champion
On many platforms, both nationally and internationally, there have been numerous tributes honoring Shushei. Many fans have expressed their condolences for this star from Fnatic. Besides xPeke’s legendary backdoor play, many other members of the team also gained recognition, and Shushei was no exception. Simultaneously, many fans hope that Riot Games will give appropriate honors to the stars of Fnatic.
