Launching in August 2024, Concord is the debut project from Firewalk Studios, a development team under Sony. However, this hero shooter quickly became one of the biggest failures in PlayStation’s history.
After receiving a wave of negative feedback from players on PS5 and PC, Sony decided to refund users and officially shut down the game just two weeks after its launch. Not long after that, Concord was completely terminated, dragging down the reputation of Firewalk Studios.

With the servers down and no upcoming technical updates, Concord’s physical PS5 copies have become one of the few remaining collectibles from this game.
On eBay, most physical copies of Concord are being sold at prices ranging from $15 to $40. However, some sellers are marking up prices due to the game’s scarcity, pushing them over $300. Notably, some listings have even reached prices as high as $500, with the highest recorded sale being $2,250 (nearly 60 million VND).

Despite being sold at high prices, the game Concord itself does not have any significant value beyond its memorabilia aspect, as the gameplay has been discontinued by Sony. Conversely, the limited edition DualSense controller for Concord is still functioning normally, and its futuristic design may attract attention from collectors. Currently, the price for this controller on eBay ranges from $250 to $320, with some listings going as high as $750 – many times higher than its initial price of $85 at launch.

It is unlikely that anyone will spend thousands of dollars to own a physical copy of a game that cannot be played, especially when there are still many sellers offering it at much lower prices in the market. Nevertheless, with Concord being one of the most memorable failures in PlayStation’s history, its physical copies could become sought-after collectibles for those wanting to commemorate a dark chapter in Sony’s legacy. Following the disappointing lessons from Concord, Sony has begun reevaluating its live-service game strategy, even potentially canceling two upcoming projects of this nature in the near future.
