After Ruler’s return from LPL to join Gen.G, the tides have shifted. However, since the arrival of these superstars and Chovy to LCK, JDG has faced significant challenges. It’s worth noting that while Peyz is indeed talented, the JDG team has struggled to maintain its status.
Recently, JDG lost 1-3 to Team WE, a team that, despite being in the “triad” of LPL, has not been competitive for quite some time. In fact, Team WE’s performance has been rated as below average, if not poor, compared to the top-tier teams in the League of Legends ecosystem. This season, the team has had some external factors, but both players are considered to be “underwhelming” as they cannot compete for a top position in the current meta. Community Calls for LCK Superstars to Return from LPL
With the potential elimination from the MSI 2025 qualifying groups, JDG seems to be halting their season until the mid-year tournament concludes in China. However, they still hope to secure a spot for Split 3 and potentially make a comeback to qualify for Worlds. Despite the tough competition, JDG must contend with rivals like TES, BLG, and WBG. Their defeat against WE shows that teams like AL and NIP are also ready to create surprises.
Moreover, after JDG’s defeat, many opinions suggest that Peyz should consider returning to LCK. Indeed, regardless of the circumstances, LCK teams still exhibit a robust determination and the position of Xạ Thủ is not lacking in notable names, apart from familiar faces like Ruler, Viper, and Gumayusi. Peyz himself comes from this region and would benefit significantly if he intends to return to the kimchi region after the season concludes.
