T1 Faces Challenges in MSI 2025: Hope Remains Limited
Before the upcoming match against HLE – T1 has started, and the only optimistic voices come from a few fans who hold strong faith in Faker and the new lineup’s potential to secure victory. Even though two of the LCK commentators expressed confidence in T1’s chances, predicting a score of 3-0 for the reigning champions of the World Championship seems far-fetched. Recently, fans discovered that T1’s morale might be low as they prepare for the match against HLE.
According to reports, many fans feel that T1 hasn’t properly prepared content for their current performance at MSI 2025. The new match kit set to be announced soon is considered the only refreshing element. On the T1 Shop page, fans can also find announcements regarding the sales of T1’s second match kit (black and blue jackets) which will be available for purchase as part of the MSI 2025 merchandise and the remaining items from the season.
Additionally, the promotional poster for T1’s participation in MSI 2025 has also raised eyebrows among fans when they noticed several elements that might not align with the team’s branding. Compared to MSI 2024, it’s evident that T1 has not maintained the same level of preparedness. During last Spring, T1 released a series of kits, new match uniforms, and promotional posters even before the finals against Gen.G began.
Is There a Chance for T1?
Despite the challenges, T1’s shortcomings this time are evident. Compared to their performance during the LCK Cup 2025 leading up to the match against HLE, T1 seems to be rated significantly lower than their rivals. Notably, while HLE managed to dominate Gen.G, T1 struggled against KT after the first round. The disparity in team quality is quite pronounced, and it remains unclear why HLE faces such quick defeats.
The prospect of T1 winning seems uncertain, but it would be unreasonable to underestimate either team based on their recent performances. However, it is concerning that T1 has been rated so poorly, especially considering their overall potential and the ability to adapt to different play styles.
