T1 Achieves Victory with a Different Title: “The Ice Cold”
Recently, T1 triumphed over BLG to continue their journey in the MSI 2025 tournament. Although T1 secured a 3-0 victory, which surprised many, the competitive scene in League of Legends is still buzzing due to T1’s recent impressive performances, earning them the unexpected nickname “The Ice Cold.” This title is primarily attributed to their rivalry with KT Rolster.
According to some opinions, there is a general consensus: “Since the match against KT, T1 seems to have unlocked a new level. Doran also achieved a solo kill during the match against them and was named MVP for three consecutive games. T1 has a ‘KT curse’ that has lingered for two or three seasons, and after defeating them, they have shown impressive performances.”
In reality, the opinions of League of Legends fans are quite varied. Since 2023, after T1 eliminated KT from the playoffs of the LCK, it has become evident that a different face has emerged in the remaining matches of the season, despite them being the favorites for the World Championship. In the Summer 2023, KT challenged T1 and was subsequently eliminated from the LCK, while T1 advanced to the World Championship. In 2024, T1 eliminated KT to secure the final spot for the World Championship.
If T1 Wins the MSI 2025, KT Will Be “Haunted” by Their Name
Certainly, alongside various external factors, T1’s players have exhibited high-performance levels that could help them secure titles. Notably, opposing teams have also made mistakes, and this situation is not related to KT at all.
As of now, T1 can only strategize to win the MSI 2025 title in two crucial matches. These will be the two most significant matches for T1 at the moment, and certainly, their goal remains to secure victories regardless of their opponents. However, if T1 accomplishes their mission, it is likely that KT will once again be “haunted” by their name, even if they are only spectators of the tournament.
