One Piece is currently entering the Elbaf arc, a significant part of the Final Saga that is incredibly exciting. Fans are keenly aware that the story is at a critical peak and is soon heading towards a resolution. To conclude his journey, Luffy must find the One Piece, and to do so, he needs to possess the Road Poneglyphs.
As of now, the location of the final Road Poneglyph remains one of the biggest mysteries in the world of One Piece. Although many characters may have hints, no one knows its exact whereabouts. However, in a surprising twist, creator Eiichiro Oda seems to have skillfully hinted at the precise location of the final Road Poneglyph, and it has been right in front of us all along!
The Location of the Final Poneglyph Related to “The Man with the Burnt Mark”
To reach Laugh Tale, the final island, acquiring all the Road Poneglyphs is essential. Three of the five Road Poneglyphs have been confirmed: one is under the protection of Big Mom, one is located in Wano (previously guarded by Kaido), and one is hidden deep within the Whale Forest on Zou. This makes the final Road Poneglyph a crucial piece that remains elusive, and no one knows where it currently is.
Historically, this Road Poneglyph was believed to be located at Fish-Man Island. Yet, when Luffy and his crew arrived there, the Poneglyph had vanished. It’s clear that someone must have moved it, and the answer may lie with a mysterious character known as “The Man with the Burnt Mark,” who is actually Scopper Gaban.

Scopper Gaban: The Legendary Figure Behind “The Man with the Burnt Mark”
Fans still lack detailed information about “The Man with the Burnt Mark,” but the clues suggest that this character traveled on a large black ship and had the ability to create whirlpools that could trap anyone who approached. Furthermore, his strength was rumored to be so immense that even the Emperors of the Sea could not handle a Road Poneglyph while he was present. Although his exact identity remains a mystery, Scopper Gaban has been referenced as the most prominent and potentially the only character linked to this narrative.
Firstly, Gaban is said to have a burnt mark on his forehead, which matches the description. Secondly, Gaban was a crewmate of Gol D. Roger, which means he knows the locations of the Poneglyphs and has the knowledge necessary to navigate them. Finally, as Oda has recently revealed, Gaban is a powerful figure who can command a ship at sea and carry anything he desires. As a legendary figure comparable to Roger and Rayleigh, it’s no wonder that the Emperors of the Sea could not confront him.
Could the Final Poneglyph Be Located in Elbaf?

If Gaban is indeed “The Man with the Burnt Mark,” then the location of the final Road Poneglyph could very well be Elbaf. This also relates to Harald, the king of Elbaf. In Chapter 1153 of One Piece, we learn that 70 years ago, Harald established a close relationship with Fish-Man Island, and it is noted that King Neptune welcomed him warmly.
Approximately 26 years ago, Gaban and the Roger crew visited Fish-Man Island and observed the Poneglyph. After that, about 20 years ago, Gaban traveled to Elbaf and reunited with Harald. It’s quite possible that Harald and Gaban moved the final Road Poneglyph together from Fish-Man Island to Elbaf. In this case, the Poneglyph might currently be in the Heaven Realm of Elbaf, or Gaban may have entrusted it to Shanks.
This revelation from Oda opens up new possibilities for Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they journey closer to the One Piece treasure and uncover the greatest mysteries of the world.
