The success of the recent VALORANT tournament in Vietnam marks a significant milestone in the local esports scene. The VALORANT National Championship, part of the ON Live VALORANT Series Split 3, was held with the support of two major sponsors, Woori Bank and MobiFone, creating an exciting and professional gaming environment for the VALORANT community in Vietnam. After a series of intense BO3 matches during the Playoffs featuring four competing teams: Fancy United Esports, Blue Eyes White Dragon, Tài Năng Trẻ, and Homeless Gang, the standout teams that advanced to the finals were Fancy United Esports and Blue Eyes White Dragon.
In a thrilling BO5 match held at the TP. Ho Chi Minh City venue, Fancy United Esports triumphed over Blue Eyes White Dragon with a dominant score of 3-0 after nearly four hours of gameplay. This victory not only secured the OVS 3 championship trophy but also earned Fancy United Esports a spot as Vietnam’s representative in the VALORANT Challengers 2025 Southeast Asia.

The event, organized by ON Live Esports (affiliated with VTVcab), attracted hundreds of fans to follow the live broadcasts at two locations in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with over 100,000 viewers tuning in through various online platforms. Notably, the VLR Champion Tour Vietnam channel alone reached 78,000 simultaneous viewers. These impressive figures not only reflect the growing popularity of VALORANT in Vietnam but also indicate a positive trend in community interest and engagement with competitive esports in the country.
It’s worth noting that this is the first offline tournament for VALORANT in Vietnam after nearly a year-long hiatus since the VCT Challengers Vietnam, marking a significant step towards recovery and development in esports in a professional manner. Competing in a LAN environment allows players not only to showcase their skills but also to demonstrate their composure under the pressure of live competition.

Looking ahead, the Promo/Relo Southeast Asia qualifying rounds are set to officially commence in September 2025. With a consistent performance throughout the tournament and a strategic approach, Fancy United Esports is considered a strong representative of Vietnam in the regional qualifiers, competing against teams from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia for four spots in the VALORANT Challengers 2025 Southeast Asia. This not only presents an opportunity for growth but also serves as a platform to enhance skills and accumulate experience for future international competitions.
