In the world of creative co-op gaming, a new project called Soul Chained has emerged, quickly capturing the attention of the gaming community.
The unique game draws inspiration from the recent success of Chained Together, but elevates the co-op experience to a new level – blending with the Soulslike genre known for its difficulty and strategic depth.

Much like Chained Together, Soul Chained requires players to collaborate closely throughout their journey as both protagonists are physically linked by a chain.
However, instead of simply navigating obstacles like in a platformer, players must engage in battles against formidable enemies, face powerful bosses, and conquer challenging environments that embody the essence of Soulslike gameplay. The game’s setting further enhances its appeal: two characters, previously united in their quest, now find themselves descending into the Abyss. To reclaim their lost powers and advance to the other side, they must overcome a series of intricate challenges together.

According to the developers at Kyroware – the independent studio behind the project, Soul Chained delivers a co-op experience that is “creative and engaging,” akin to games that… challenge traditional gameplay norms. However, the standout feature lies in the use of the physical chain not just for movement but also for combat. Players can utilize the chain to dodge attacks or pull enemies closer, or interact with the environment to solve puzzles. Every action demands seamless coordination and continuous communication between the two players, as any misstep can lead both to face dire consequences.

The combat system in Soul Chained embodies the Soulslike style: requiring high precision, strategic positioning, and appropriate tactics for each scenario. Throughout their journey, players will encounter “deep challenges” where each challenge represents a dark aspect of the protagonists’ past. Only upon completing all challenges can players hope to achieve a grand escape. Currently, the demo of Soul Chained is officially available on Steam and is ready for players to experience. Although a release timeline has not yet been announced, Kyroware is committed to continuing development based on community feedback, aiming to deliver a product of “the highest quality.”
