Results of T1 at LCK Awards 2024 Surprising Many
Despite facing tough competition from several deserving candidates such as Chovy (LCK Spring 2024 Champion) and Peanut (LCK Summer 2024 Champion), Faker still secured the title of Outstanding Player of the Year at the recently held LCK Awards 2024 just moments ago. It’s worth mentioning that not only Faker but the entire T1 roster consistently performed excellently in this award ceremony.

According to reports, the iconic lineup for the year also included all members of T1 who had previously participated in the 2024 World Championship, including Doran who had already departed. However, the controversial roles and the presence of notable former players such as Zeus, Doran, and Kiin also added to the significance of this award ceremony.

In 2024, considering the LCK, T1 did not secure any national titles and even had to contribute to the 2024 World Championship with a fourth-place finish. This has sparked discussions about the importance of national achievements versus the significant role of the World Championship. After winning the MSI 2024, Gen.G also found themselves without any awards other than the “Outstanding Player of the Year” for Canyon.

Fans React to T1’s Results
In reality, if we consider the achievements of the year, it is likely that T1 players also faced pressure. Yet, the fact that both Gen.G and HLE were absent from the iconic lineup reflects a significant oversight. Even Zeus, who is now a member of HLE, still carries the T1 legacy with pride.
According to many opinions, the “outstanding player” title in 2022, when Zeka won the title despite only having a single MSI championship, has made it challenging for LCK organizers. They now have to navigate through the World Championship to evaluate teams. If we reverse this, the pressure could become even more intense.

Despite the stars, the awards for T1 seem to be a safe choice and might not spark much controversy. However, looking ahead to upcoming years, LCK organizers must consider carefully if they wish to maintain the significance of these awards in the eyes of the fans.
