Faker Shares the Current Situation of T1
Typically, the LCK Awards ceremony garners significant interest from the League of Legends community, especially when T1 is the leading candidate for various accolades. However, due to the recent plane crash in South Korea, which affected the event honoring Faker and the LCK teams, the format had to be adjusted. Nevertheless, it is not surprising that T1 swept all major categories.

Additionally, Faker shared insights about the future of T1 as well as their current state. Notably, in comments regarding Doran, T1’s mid-laner revealed an important piece of information: “Doran is quite reserved. His situation is genuinely a matter of concern. We have not trained together, but I hope we can come together to prepare well for the upcoming season.”
It appears that after more than a month since joining, if we exclude the period when players needed to be on leave, T1 has yet to officially hold any practice sessions together. Meanwhile, according to announced information, the LCK Cup will officially kick off on January 10, 2025 – the first major tournament of the upcoming year.

Faker’s Insights Indicate Tough Times Ahead for T1
In addition to the factors such as players needing to be on leave or participating in showmatches, a critical factor that must be addressed is that T1 may still be facing DDoS attacks. Upon joining the team, Doran himself encountered this issue, which might still be affecting T1 today.

In the upcoming season, the LCK organizers and Riot will implement a Fearless Draft for the LCK Cup, which will serve as an experimental feature. Although the tournament will not significantly impact T1’s journey, the inability to train smoothly could hinder T1 from achieving optimal performance initially. There is a domino effect similar to that of the MSI – LCK Summer Split 2024 that could potentially reoccur.
