In the next five years, from the current point in time, we can expect around 60 blockbuster films to be adapted from comic books. This means that every month, there will be at least one superhero movie to watch on the big screen, starting with “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows” this June, and concluding with either “Green Lantern Corps” or “X-Force” in 2020.
This is fantastic news for comic book fans; however, it doesn’t necessarily mean that all of them will be great. There’s a significant chance we will still see some superhero films that are not directly based on existing comics.
