Last month, director Michael Bay unveiled a new image from the film set featuring the robot Sqweeks. This character is a transformer that takes the form of a classic Vespa scooter and is expected to bring many humorous details, appealing to viewers in the upcoming movie Transformers: The Last Knight.
This new image of Sqweeks was released following the studio’s reveal of Drift, the samurai robot, who has been redesigned with a sleek black color and four swords on his back. Notably, Sqweeks will be a new character in the film, crafted to be an appealing mascot for fans in this upcoming installment.
According to the studio’s announcement, the robot Sqweeks will stand approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall (about 1 meter). This size is quite modest compared to other members of the Autobots or Decepticons. The director aims to incorporate Sqweeks into the film to create humorous situations for the audience, a role previously held by characters like Bumblebee, R2-D2, and BB-8 in earlier films.
In creating the new form of Sqweeks, it appears that this character will transform from a Vespa scooter with one leg… being detached. The arms are transformed from the handlebars of the Vespa, leading fans to speculate that they may resemble… sticks. In summary, this will undoubtedly be a unique robot design… quirky and will simply play a humorous role in the film.
Transformers: The Last Knight is set to premiere on June 23, 2017.
