Mr. Duong Hung has shared insights about his current life in a recent news program titled “Bach Chien Bach Thang.” He is a well-known actor from the 1993 film adaptation of “Bao Thanh Thien,” where he played the role of Truong Long alongside Ha Gia Kinh, Ma Han, and Trieu Ho.
“My life has gone through many ups and downs. Not many people know that I had to act in adult films to make ends meet,” Duong Hung shared.
The actor, known for his role as Truong Long, revealed that his success in “Bao Thanh Thien” provided him with a significant income. He earned 15,000 RMB (approximately 50 million VND) per episode. After the show concluded, he received numerous invitations to events and film roles. “In a good year, I could earn 8 million RMB (around 25 billion VND),” he added.
His last appearance on screen was as Hong Ma Vuong in the fantasy film “Dai Ma Vuong.” Following that, Duong Hung shifted his focus to business, investing 5 million RMB in a specialized training room in Taiwan. However, he faced challenges that made it difficult to recover his investment.
“My family fell into financial difficulties as the costs soared to hundreds of thousands of RMB. Living in a 10m² apartment with five family members was challenging. Sometimes, we only had 20,000 RMB to live on for the month, which was not enough,” he recounted.
Due to these financial constraints, Duong Hung accepted roles in adult films. He mentioned that he had to apologize to his partner for taking these roles, understanding the tough situation they were in. “I even had to comply with her request not to accept roles that required me to shoot intimate scenes. I understood her concerns, given the financial struggles of our family,” he expressed.
In one year, he appeared in over 10 adult films, which provided him with the financial means to support his family.
“Despite the challenges, I don’t regret the path I’ve taken,” the actor shared. Duong Hung currently lives a simple life in a small village in central Taiwan. Now at 55 years old, he embraces a modest lifestyle, staying away from the glitz of showbiz.
