Fullmetal Alchemist is a manga series that has captivated many fans in Vietnam and around the world with its compelling story about two talented alchemist brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, and their thrilling adventures.
The main character, Edward Elric, is a young boy passionate about alchemy who once attempted to bring his deceased mother back to life using alchemy. This attempt ended in failure, resulting in Edward losing a part of his own body, while his younger brother Alphonse lost his entire body and became a soul trapped in a suit of armor. Day by day, Edward tirelessly searches for a way to restore his brother’s body, fully aware that the task is a nearly impossible mission.
Recently, it was announced that the beloved manga series Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa will be adapted into a live-action film. The film’s production team has officially launched a website counting down to the movie’s release date, set for April 4, 2017.
The film will begin shooting in Italy, with some scenes filmed in Japan, starting in August of the following year. The live-action adaptation is expected to premiere in Japan during the winter of 2017. The film will be directed by Fumihiko Sori and will feature the appearance of star Ryosuke Yamada, who is known for his roles in the group Hey! Say! JUMP and the live-action adaptation of Assassination Classroom. In this film, Edward’s story will begin when he is 20 years old, rather than 15 as depicted in the manga.
