In a world where gaming experiences are becoming increasingly complex and grand, “Shoot the Wall,” a new game that has debuted on Steam, offers a completely opposite approach: simplicity at its core.
The singular objective in this game? Smash and break through a wall and nothing more. With a price tag of around 80,000 VND, many games have attempted to deliver such an experience.

From the moment you start, “Shoot the Wall” places players in a completely empty room. In the center, there is only a brick wall and a simple table with a single glowing ball. No storyline, no guidance, no objectives beyond breaking through the wall.
Each hit, besides breaking the bricks, triggers a series of prompts that encourage player interaction. This dialogue will continuously provide feedback and even suggest strategies for players to invest their time wisely in upgrading and learning new skills, rather than mindlessly hitting a static wall. However, for the most part, players will still have to choose to keep smashing.

As bricks are destroyed, players earn currency that can be used to purchase new upgrades from a side machine, allowing players to enhance their firepower from a shotgun to more powerful weapons. These new weapons significantly speed up the wall-breaking process, which corresponds to quicker earnings. A single play session lasts about 30 minutes, and players can completely smash through the initial wall. “Shoot the Wall” indicates that there are still three more walls to break through, provided players are persistent enough to continue.

Despite its simplistic premise, “Shoot the Wall” has received quite a positive rating on Steam. However, its player count is relatively low, peaking at just 637 simultaneous players. Currently, “Shoot the Wall” only has around 8-20 concurrent players during recent days.
