Silent Storm Esports Enters VCS Amid Controversy
Recently, the team Silent Storm Esports (SSE) officially announced their participation in the Vietnam Championship Series (VCS) after only one season. For those unfamiliar, SSE is formed by several familiar faces in the VCS community, including Neo, Phuc1, and Jarvis. However, they also bring in some relatively new players. Despite this, after just one season in the Spring 2025, the team has concluded its journey.

Furthermore, upon the establishment of this team, the head coach Toàn Trần “Neo” announced that he would take on the role of Team Manager, overseeing various operational and communication tasks. According to some sources from insiders, this team has yet to secure an official sponsor.
However, complications soon arose. The team is the youngest in the history of VCS but has already faced accusations of being “var,” with suspicions surrounding the VCS Organizing Committee and Riot Games temporarily banning them indefinitely.

Community Pressure and VCS Response
According to reports, right beneath the announcement, the official representative of SSE faced strong backlash, demanding that the organizing committee provide evidence for their claims that the team was banned indefinitely by the VCS Committee and Riot Games. In essence, from the start, if this information is incorrect, the VCS Committee will have to notify the audience in advance. Meanwhile, those disseminating the information have not provided any evidence to support their claims.

Regarding the community, the VCS audience is also becoming skeptical. The source of this information comes from a channel that has lost the audience’s trust after several previous incidents. Notably, when the “32 team incident” erupted in mid-2024, this channel also released misleading information and was implicated in the distribution of false claims.
Additionally, the dissemination of unverified information does not only impact the teams but also causes fans to lose trust in the league overall. Therefore, the community needs to be cautious about the information they consume to protect the integrity of the VCS environment and Esports in general, and also to avoid affecting those involved.
