AAA Blockbuster Set for Release in Nearly Two Years!

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled for release on March 20, 2025. However, this timeline is a result of several previous delays in its launch. To explain the continuous delays, Ubisoft stated that they needed more time “to refine and enhance the experience, while also adding several key features.” Of course, such announcements can understandably lead to disappointment among gamers, especially fans of the Assassin’s Creed IP who feel eager for the game’s release.

Another important point is that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to be a AAA game released within Apple’s ecosystem. This title will be one of the standout games showcased at Apple’s WWDC24 event scheduled for June 2024. Similar to other iconic titles like Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected to set a new standard for mobile gaming.
However, as of now, Ubisoft has only confirmed that this game will be available on Mac and iPad platforms. Although it has been indicated that it will be optimized for those platforms, the absence of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on iPhones and other mobile devices has left fans feeling somewhat disappointed. Questions about whether Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be developed for iPhones remain unanswered.
