AAA Blockbuster Set for Release in Nearly Two Years!
AAA games have always been a hot topic among gaming communities, and as we head towards the beginning of 2025, one title stands out that is attracting significant attention. That title is Assassin’s Creed Shadows – a highly anticipated masterpiece from Ubisoft.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled for release on March 20, 2025. However, this timeline is a result of several previous delays in its launch. Ubisoft first teased this blockbuster back in September 2022 under the working title Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red. Since then, the game has undergone a name change, with gameplay details set to be revealed in May 2024.

To explain the continuous delays, Ubisoft stated that they needed more time “to refine and enhance the experience, while also adding several key features.” Of course, such announcements can understandably lead to disappointment among gamers, especially fans of the Assassin’s Creed IP who feel eager for the game’s release.
With the “hype” surrounding its launch, Ubisoft’s blockbuster continues to keep players “on edge”
The excitement is palpable as trailers and information released by Ubisoft about Assassin’s Creed Shadows continue to make waves. Moreover, industry experts recognize this blockbuster as one of the most promising titles, poised to be a AAA game “contender” for the 2025 Game of the Year (GOTY).

Another important point is that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to be a AAA game released within Apple’s ecosystem. This title will be one of the standout games showcased at Apple’s WWDC24 event scheduled for June 2024. Similar to other iconic titles like Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected to set a new standard for mobile gaming.

However, as of now, Ubisoft has only confirmed that this game will be available on Mac and iPad platforms. Although it has been indicated that it will be optimized for those platforms, the absence of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on iPhones and other mobile devices has left fans feeling somewhat disappointed. Questions about whether Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be developed for iPhones remain unanswered. More information is expected to be shared by Apple, as well as further confirmation from Ubisoft in the near future.
