My Neighbor Totoro – My Neighbor is Totoro is considered one of the classic animated films from Japan, closely associated with the legendary Studio Ghibli, which has been enchanting audiences since its release in 1988.
The film’s storyline revolves around two young girls, Satsuki (10 years old) and Mei (5 years old), who move to the countryside of Japan during the 1950s. One day, while playing outside, Mei follows a Totoro and discovers the home of the three Totoros – the forest spirits (visible only to children)…
With its bright color palette and light-hearted yet profound narrative, filled with deep humanistic meanings, the film has quickly captured the hearts of audiences in Vietnam and around the world.
Recently, anime fans have stumbled upon a curious mistake in My Neighbor Totoro, one that has gone unnoticed for over 20 years.
According to the observation, in one scene where a character opens her mouth wide in front of the young girls, the two front teeth are revealed. Interestingly, it’s noted that in reality, she should not have those front teeth at all, making this scene logically inconsistent.
