Digimon – “The Rival” of Pokémon Launches New Mobile Game
Today, the IP Pokémon is no longer too far removed from the gaming community. However, many people are still unaware that alongside Pokémon, there is another IP that closely competes, named Digimon. If you are currently “curious” about the IP Digimon, you can refer to the details here.

After a long wait, Bandai Namco officially launched Digimon: Source Code in the Chinese market on April 25, 2025, for both Android and iOS platforms. This is a role-playing game that combines elements of adventure and exploration, offering a unique experience for fans of the Digimon franchise.

Notably, Digimon: Source Code first appeared in beta form in China in 2021 and later showcased its gameplay at the ChinaJoy 2023 event, attracting significant attention from the gaming community. However, after that, the game underwent a complete transformation. Only now has Digimon made a spectacular comeback, thrilling fans worldwide.

With the new PBR (Physically Based Rendering) technology, the game beautifully recreates the Digital World with realistic details and vibrant life. Players will encounter iconic names such as WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and Rosemon, exploring diverse environments that range from dense forests to snow-capped mountains, as well as hidden treasures and challenging terrains.
Choosing “The Rival” for Pokémon Fans
Unlike many games that utilize the gacha system, Digimon: Source Code allows players to freely collect Digimon without being overly restricted, enabling them to gather their favorite characters without needing to invest too much money. The game also incorporates various mini-games for entertainment and features a deep combat system.

A standout feature is the “Overload” system, which allows players to unleash powerful skills simultaneously, creating new strategies in combat. Moreover, many Digimon can also combine their abilities to execute dazzling combos and surprises during battles.
Although the game is currently only released in China, players can still access the official website to download it. There is no information about a global release yet, but with serious investment in graphics, innovative gameplay, and a loyal fanbase, there are many possibilities that Bandai Namco will expand Digimon’s presence in the global market in the near future.
