The game Voidbreaker, a unique first-person shooter, has officially been announced, merging elements of a scientific fantasy environment, customizable systems, destructive environments, and intense gameplay experiences.
Introduced during the Triple-i Showcase event, Voidbreaker quickly attracted the attention of the gaming community. This game embodies many characteristics typical of the sci-fi genre: from explosive laser beams, spectacular visual effects, to futuristic landscapes filled with deadly robots.
However, the distinctive feature that sets Voidbreaker apart is its destructive environmental system, reminiscent of other game masterpieces like Battlefield or The Finals, combined with a roguelike gameplay loop that continually challenges players.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that even though it has just been announced, players can directly experience the game’s test version. In Voidbreaker, players will take on the role of a character trapped by a hostile artificial intelligence, forced to engage in battles for survival in a world filled with deadly machines. The sole objective is to survive and find a way to escape this dangerous place. Throughout their survival journey, players will continuously encounter dilemmas – choosing between taking dangerous paths for greater rewards or following safer routes to increase their survival chances.
Environmental conditions play a crucial role in defining success in each gameplay round. Although the shooting mechanics are familiar, Voidbreaker allows players to customize their experience through various upgrade modules, creating thousands of unique builds. These mod options can interact with each other, creating devastating synergies – particularly essential when facing higher-tier enemies in the late game. Not only do players utilize their firearms, but they also can leverage the environment to fight. They can create cover to block incoming fire or set traps to eliminate multiple targets at once.
