The AoE Central Vietnam 2025 tournament will take place from April 18, 2025, to April 27, 2025, in Binh Hung City, Jiangxi Province, China. The competition will feature five main events under the Ranged category: Solo Shang, Solo Assyrian, 2vs2 Shang, 2vs2 Assyrian, and 3vs3 Shang.
The organizing committee for this tournament is the familiar name: La Ma Association – one of the largest official organizing bodies recognized by the AoE community in China. The La Ma Association has also been responsible for consistently organizing AoE Central Vietnam tournaments from 2011 to 2019.
The total prize pool for the AoE Central Vietnam 2025 tournament is set to reach 250,000 Renminbi (approximately 885,000,000 VND), with 116,000 Renminbi (about 410,000,000 VND) allocated to the licensing rights for images, managed by Thien Khoi Esports.

After six years since the last tournament held at Tham Quyen (2019), AoE enthusiasts are once again rejuvenated by the fervent atmosphere of a Central Vietnam – China era. It would be even more meaningful if AoE Vietnam could once again surpass the threshold right at the “home ground” of the game.

Different Playing Field and Challenges for AoE Vietnam
There will be no Random mode included in this year’s tournament, making it clear that this “game” is strictly for Chinese players. The Ranged category remains the classic type that the AoE community in China has been cultivating for decades, with notable players like Shenlong, Tieu Thuy Ngu, Tien Nhu Vu, and high-level players such as Do Thanh, Dua Chua, Ngach Han, all showcasing their skills in Ranged tactics, siege, and troop development, deeply ingrained in their gameplay.
Not only is it challenging in terms of specialization in content, but the Chinese team also possesses numerous external advantages such as geography, climate, and environmental conditions due to their proximity. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team will have to quickly adapt to the competition conditions and maintain a strong mental state to compete with a host country that is “in the midst of a flourishing period.”

Vietnamese AoE Team: Determined to Create a Unique Identity
Despite various hardships, AoE Vietnam has organized several selection rounds to scout and bring the best players to China, showcasing names from both professional clans like VEC, EGO Media, Thien Khoi Esports, and semi-professional clans like MaxR. Noteworthy players include Bibi, Hoang Mai Nhi, Tinh Van from VEC; ChipBoy, Kamachi, Long Le, Yugi from EGO Media; Cam Quyt, 2k1 Bac Ninh, Tieu Man Thau, Sang Club, Mai Co Ty, Gio from Thien Khoi Esports, and finally members from the semi-professional clan MaxR.
Many names on the roster are gold medalists from the AoE Vietnam Central 2024 tournament and will participate in this competition. Notably, 2k1 Bac Ninh will compete in the Solo Ranged Shang category; EGO ChipBoy in the Solo Ranged Assyrian category; EGO Long Le and VEC Tinh Van in the 2vs2 Ranged Shang category; and EGO ChipBoy again in the 2vs2 Ranged Assyrian category.
With quick maneuvers, solid skills, and particularly the “E” strike ability, the Vietnamese AoE team is ready to engage vigorously with any opponent. The preparation includes meticulous planning, training, and strategies for various scenarios (including scouting, movement, and ambushing) to elevate their competitive standards and ensure their victory at the tournament.
The most crucial psychological factor is undoubtedly the solidarity and support from their hometown fans – hearts that always burn with a passion for AoE and belief in a game that holds immense potential.
