April Brings a Wave of Highly Anticipated Movies

Hu Quang Han – a handsome actor – has become well-known among viewers for continuing to bring back the “cultural wave” of Vietnamese cinema in his latest film project.
The film Marry My Dead Body is a romantic comedy that has stirred excitement during the recent April festivities in Da Nang. One day, during a pursuit of a criminal along with the beautiful forensic investigator Zi-Qing, the protagonist Ming-Han unexpectedly receives a mysterious red envelope, which leads to a group of people unexpectedly calling him “the groom.” They demand that he marry the corpse of his deceased fiancée, and of course, Ming-Han cannot accept this decision.
However, after an unfortunate encounter, he begins to see his ghostly bride, Mao-Mao. To escape Mao-Mao, Ming-Han has no other choice but to help her fulfill her last wish. An adventure filled with laughter and tears begins as he navigates through the ghostly world and faces challenges to help his bride. The film is set to premiere on April 7, 2023.

Another highly anticipated film, The First Slam Dunk, marks a significant return of the 8x and 9x generation to the big screen after more than two decades. This film illustrates the growth journey of high school students passionate about basketball, focusing on the character Ryota Miyagi from the Shohoku basketball team. He has an older brother, Sota, who inspired his love for the sport. Ryota and his teammates, Hanamichi Sakuragi, Takenori Akagi, Hisashi Mitsui, and Kaede Rukawa, challenge the Sannoh high school basketball team.
This film is one of the highly anticipated global blockbusters following the release of the critically acclaimed Avatar: The Way of Water. Its popularity has heavily influenced cinema attendance across many countries in Asia. The official release in Vietnam is scheduled for April 14, 2023.

On the same weekend of April 14, 2023, audiences will also meet two handsome leads, Nicholas Hoult and Nicolas Cage, in Renfield: The Devil’s Assistant.
This film tells the story of Renfield, a character traditionally known as the devoted servant of Count Dracula.
