Of course, aside from the exciting game trailers showcased at the recent E3 2016 event, Ubisoft also took the opportunity to promote the upcoming film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. A brand new trailer has been unveiled, focusing on the main character Callum Lynch, played by Michael Fassbender.
It is essential to note that the storyline of the Assassin’s Creed film will be entirely original and distinct from any game in the franchise. However, familiar elements from the games will be reimagined within the movie, albeit within a completely new narrative framework.
In the newly released trailer, we get a glimpse of professional assassins engaged in thrilling parkour action, with the iconic leap of faith from high buildings—a staple moment that fans of the Assassin’s Creed games will undoubtedly recognize and appreciate being vividly depicted in the film.
After gaining a substantial amount of combat skills and knowledge, Callum Lynch rises against the oppressive Templar Order, which has been the sworn enemy of the Assassins throughout history.
The film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed is set to officially premiere worldwide on December 21, 2016.
