The author of “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation,” Rifujin na Magonote, recently became a focal point on social media after sharing a tweet announcing the release date for the third volume of “Mushoku Tensei: Redundancy.” In his post, the author clearly expressed that despite receiving praise and being subjected to criticism, his writing style will not change. He stated:
“I am happy to receive praise, sad to be criticized, and feel hurt when insulted or slandered. However, regardless of what anyone says about me, I will continue to write whatever I want. It won’t change at all.”
He also firmly acknowledged that while he is looking for ways to connect with more readers, his priority remains writing about the subjects he is passionate about:
“If nobody reads it, then its publication won’t mean anything, so I try to get more people to see it. But the thing is, it always happens after I ‘write what I like in the way I like.’ Just to clarify, the first is what I like to write, and after that is the reader’s reaction. Sorry if anyone feels differently!”
These remarks surfaced during a period when “Redundancy” was becoming a controversial topic following Rifujin na Magonote’s online serialization that began in 2015. The story takes place against the backdrop of major events from “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” and explores a multitude of characters. However, a number of chapters, particularly those involving Ars and Aisha Greyrat (the son and daughter of different mothers of Rudeus), were removed due to contentious content:
- Aisha began to feel a strange sensation when near Ars as he grew up. When Ars confessed his feelings to her, she indirectly rejected him, but it was discovered by Rudeus and Sylphiette.
- When Ars declared his desire to be with Aisha, Eris reacted in jealousy and struck him.
- Rudeus and Lilia also maintained their distance, prompting Aisha to suggest to Ars that they should not be involved. He agreed, and both left the house, but a year later, he found her living in a peaceful area of Millis, where Aisha had become pregnant and could no longer hide her condition.
- Seeing Aisha’s determination for Ars and her sincere love, the family accepted her relationship… except for Lilia, who had been very close to Aisha.
- To prepare for the birth, Aisha had to stay away from her family and study at the Royal Asura Academy to learn more about the world and herself, while Ars would study separately until he could be independent. Furthermore, their son, Leroy Greyrat, would still live under the Greyrat family name without any issues.
- Five years later, Aisha and Ars got married, bought a house in the city of Sharia, and lived a peaceful life with their son Leroy.

The author, Rifujin na Magonote, acknowledged that he is not pleased with certain parts of this story at the time it was published and decided to remove some chapters due to violations of the platform’s terms of service. However, it remains unclear if volume 3 of “Mushoku Tensei: Redundancy,” which is currently in the editing process, will officially address this matter or if it will follow a ‘safe route.’
