Players will follow two main characters, Satoru and Akira – two Ronin who were once loyal warriors but have been forced to live outside the law. Their journey begins after a failed battle, escalating quickly as they find themselves embroiled in a larger conspiracy involving outside military intervention and a dark underbelly that they must navigate to survive.
Shadow of the Road features a turn-based combat system that is richly developed, reminiscent of the gameplay found in Divinity: Original Sin 2 or Baldur’s Gate 3.
