Bin Faces Criticism After “Face Off” Performance
During the playoffs of LPL 2025 Split 1, the match between BLG and TES was anticipated as the focal point of the tournament. The reputation of both teams added to the intensity of this matchup, especially under the circumstances of a recent defeat. Despite this, the reality of the match played out somewhat differently as Bin and his team faced a significant setback, losing to TES with a score of 1-3.

Not to be underestimated, star player Bin of BLG generated a wave of controversy after this match. Specifically, during the post-match press conference, Bin received questions regarding his team’s need for improvement and which aspects of their gameplay needed to be fixed for better results in the future. After the match, this team has shown that they do not need to change anything, as BLG will adapt strongly when the upcoming meta shifts.

“Do we need to change and upgrade? We don’t necessarily have to do this during the upcoming meta shift. This is because the strategy we use won’t be relevant in the next version. At that point, BLG just needs to play to their strengths to dominate the LPL in the future. Changing the roster to fit the upcoming meta isn’t necessary,” Bin shared following the loss against TES.
Immediately following the press conference, Bin faced significant backlash from the audience. Many fans in the LPL community felt that Bin’s remarks reflected a lack of self-awareness regarding the weaknesses in his gameplay. Furthermore, attributing the loss to the changing meta, despite it having been around for a long time, made it challenging for him to accept responsibility. Additionally, the Sohu news site went as far as labeling BLG and Bin as “punching bags” after his controversial statements.

Bin’s Arrogance is Costly
Considering a fair perspective, BLG’s recent defeat did not only stem from their gameplay strategy when Bin was showing signs of critical weaknesses. His ability to control team fights or adapt strategies has not been rated highly. This player has strong points in the capability department, but the key issue is that he lacks the necessary skills to ensure victories in critical matches. His arrogance and overconfidence are preventing Bin from mastering his gameplay and transforming into a more versatile player.

Before the 2024 World Championship takes place, Bin has previously made controversial statements regarding his belief in being “on top of the world.” As a result, BLG had to suffer a painful defeat against T1 in the finals and witness Faker claim another championship title. Thus, it would not be surprising if Bin continues to face harsh criticism for his comments.
