Power Dynamics in Boruto: The Rise and Fall of Naruto and Sasuke

At the beginning of “Boruto,” Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke are regarded as the strongest shinobi in the world. They had reached unprecedented levels of power. However, their strength faced significant challenges during their encounters with formidable opponents like Momoshiki.
Throughout the series, the power dynamics of these characters have drastically changed. Naruto, by utilizing the Baryon Mode to combat Isshiki, attained a level of strength never seen before, surpassing even Sasuke and Isshiki. However, this came at a cost—losing Kurama, which significantly reduced Naruto’s power post-battle.
Naruto and Sasuke’s Loss of Power

Uzumaki Naruto and Sasuke had to face the reality of diminished power in the Boruto series. To defeat Isshiki, Naruto used Baryon Mode, but ultimately lost Kurama in the process. Similarly, Sasuke lost his Rinnegan during the battle against Momoshiki.
Both characters lost access to crucial abilities from the Sage of Six Paths that they had obtained during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Naruto’s loss is particularly significant, as he can no longer tap into Kurama’s chakra. Meanwhile, Sasuke retains his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, allowing him to preserve many of his powerful abilities.
Timeskip Confirms Sasuke’s Strength Over Naruto

During the timeskip in Boruto, Sasuke has shown a remarkable increase in strength during battles against Code, the primary antagonist following Isshiki. Despite Code being stronger than Jigen, Sasuke still managed to hold his ground. Sasuke has made Code suffer greatly, proving his resilience against the Claw Grimes organization.
Although Sasuke faced a transformation into a tree, his performances indicate a notable improvement in his power compared to before. Following their respective losses in strength, Sasuke has emerged as stronger than Naruto.
With his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Sasuke can utilize techniques like Amaterasu and Kagutsuchi, in addition to summoning Susanoo. He also has the potential to develop various other abilities that Rinnegan users typically possess.
Sasuke’s combat capabilities against Code continue to enhance, showcasing his tactical evolution and strategic prowess. However, these developments highlight the disparity between Sasuke and Naruto, particularly after their respective losses in strength.
