Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has showcased many dramatic developments since its inception, including the sacrifice of Kurama, the newfound strength of Kashin Koji, and the emergence of Himawari’s Jinchuriki. Now, with the seventh generation of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Sand Ninja group delving deeper into the Wind Country, the encounters with Ryu and Matsuri have led to significant revelations. Boruto has also revealed the new strength of Uchiha Sarada, highlighting why she is destined to become the next Hokage.
Chapter 21 is titled “Mangekyo Sharingan,” featuring Uchiha Sarada on the cover, emphasizing her new abilities. In the chapter’s events, Ryu attempts to attack Sarada using his Iron Sand but to no avail; his attacks are deflected away from her and are drawn into a black hole. Sarada warns Mitsuki about Araya and Yodo while her counterpart quickly confronts Ryu.

Sarada’s New Abilities: The Most Devastating Power in Boruto
In Chapter 21, Sarada unlocks her Mangekyo Sharingan ability, called Ohirume, which allows her to manipulate multiple mini black holes. Using attractive forces, Sarada pulls Ryu into one of these black holes. Despite Ryu’s attempts to escape into a brown hole, the gravitational pull is relentless and powerful, resulting in him being crushed into nothingness, only leaving behind his Thorn Soul Bulb.
Sarada can adjust the gravitational pull of her black holes at will and can target anyone or anything she desires to draw into her black hole, meaning there is no risk of inadvertently crushing her allies.
Moreover, Ohirume is just one of Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan abilities. Historically, anyone who possesses this power has been granted two unique abilities, including the infamous Susanoo. Sasuke has Amaterasu and Kagutsuchi, Itachi has Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, and Obito has both long-range and short-range Kamui.
Sarada experiences blood loss from her right eye, indicating that she has only tapped into one of her abilities, meaning she still possesses another powerful technique that she has yet to unveil in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Boruto Gains a New Powerful Ally
This chapter reveals that Kashin Koji and Eida want Sarada to awaken and utilize her Mangekyo Sharingan in battle, implying that she could be a significant asset in the fight against Jura and the God of Shinobi. Although Sarada may only be able to use her powers for a short period, as she has to rest after using them against Ryu, this is her first time using them, so as she becomes accustomed to her powers, Sarada could potentially maintain control for longer. However, the extent of this depends on her chakra levels.
While the narrative has introduced numerous powerful abilities, very few can compare to Ohirume. Similar to Nagato’s Planetary Devastation, which has a much greater destructive capacity and efficacy, Sarada has clearly demonstrated that she can completely overpower any ability to pave her way to the Hokage position, safeguarding her loved ones.
