Following the conclusion of the raid on Onigashima, the main character Monkey D. Luffy has reached a significant turning point, signaling the beginning of the final chapter of his long journey.
At this point, Luffy has become a renowned Empress in the New World, making the World Government’s forces feel the pressure from a powerful ally. Shortly after Luffy and his crew confronted Dr. Vegapunk, the World Government began a major assault on Egghead Island.

On Egghead Island, the Seraphim have emerged, exhibiting extraordinary abilities. Notably, the Seraphim are advanced Pacifista created to support the Shichibukai system.
The Seraphim resemble younger versions of the Shichibukai such as Gecko Moria, Donquixote Doflamingo, and Crocodile… Among them, the Seraphim that looks like Crocodile possesses a unique trait.
After many years, this Seraphim finally provides evidence regarding the leader of the Baroque Works being a female. This theory stems from the clash between Crocodile and Ivankov in the Impel Down arc.
Since the Seraphim are modeled after enhanced versions of the Shichibukai, their appearance helps us envision how each Shichibukai may have looked in their youth. If this is true, it could reveal deep secrets about Crocodile.

The origins of most theories surrounding Crocodile’s gender stem from a singular event that took place during the high-stakes situation in Impel Down. When Crocodile first appeared in this arc, Monkey D. Luffy desperately sought the help of the Shichibukai to aid his group in escaping from imprisonment.
However, Empress Ivankov—the leader of the Kamabakka Kingdom and a key figure in the Revolutionary Army—has conditions that must be met to fulfill this request. He knows a dark secret about Crocodile that the Shichibukai wishes to keep hidden. Although this secret was not explicitly mentioned in the Impel Down arc, the ability of Ivankov to alter human gender has led many to speculate that Crocodile might have been transformed into a man.
The plot of One Piece has not provided substantial evidence to support the claim that Ivankov changed Crocodile’s gender, but it is clear that the storyline does not introduce these two characters frequently after the timeskip. This lack of information has led fans to create their own interpretations, with some even suggesting that Crocodile is the true mentor that Monkey D. Luffy has long been searching for.
Moreover, when Crocodile appears in the flashback of Gol D. Roger, his expression hints at significance within the scene. This aligns with both the anime and manga, suggesting that Crocodile’s facial expression holds reason. Additionally, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda once described Crocodile as a female version of a character that is an antagonist.

If Seraphim of Crocodile (also known as S-Croc) is a clone of the original, they will resemble the Shichibukai in their younger years. The design of S-Croc appears quite feminine and is distinctly categorized according to its control panel, hinting at characteristics not present in other Seraphim.
Furthermore, based on the relationship dynamics between S-Snake and Monkey D. Luffy, it is evident that the Seraphim still retain traits from their original counterparts.
Regardless of the truth, fans hope that Eiichiro Oda will eventually provide a satisfying answer to the long-standing questions surrounding the leader of the Baroque Works.
If S-Croc plays any role in the conclusion of the Egghead arc, this character could finally shed light on the hidden secrets of Crocodile.
