CFO’s Tribute to VCS Teams at First Stand 2025
At the First Stand 2025, representatives from LCP – CBTC Flying Oyster delivered an impressive performance. Notably, they were the only team to achieve a remarkable milestone, losing only to HLE due to an “outplay” situation. Recently, in the CFO’s statement, the strategy of “Brother LCP” played a significant role in the team’s success against the VCS teams.

Specifically, according to the CFO’s statement on the River Trên, the experience of competing against VCS teams has helped this squad develop strategies to better face challenging confrontations while also improving their defensive capabilities. These “lessons” have proven beneficial at First Stand 2025.
At LCP 2025, Team Secret Whales was the only VCS team showcased by the CFO. During the latest event, many fans of League of Legends in Vietnam were quite critical, stating that the CFO did not adequately represent the APAC region at First Stand. However, following their recent defeat, the team from the PCS region has been performing better and both representatives from VCS (GAM and MVKE) have become the CFO’s benchmarks.

Significant Gap Between VCS and PCS Teams
It cannot be denied that apart from GAM, which performed unexpectedly well, both MVKE and TSW had performances at LCP 2025 that were generally acceptable. However, with PCS teams providing solid competition, there remains a notable gap between the VCS teams and those from PCS, and this gap is unlikely to close in a single direction in the near future.

However, with only one representative team chosen for First Stand 2025, it is challenging for many VCS fans to remain optimistic about the potential of Vietnamese League of Legends teams participating in the tournament. Nonetheless, upcoming MSI and Worlds events will tell a different story, as performance levels should be significantly elevated. Therefore, VCS teams must quickly improve and adapt if they wish to compete effectively against other teams in the same grouping.
