The Thing
Hulk and The Thing are among the most iconic duos that have had many epic confrontations, particularly in the Marvel universe. The underlying reason for this rivalry is that both characters are hot-tempered and… explosive, leading to intense battles whenever they meet.
Of course, with his immense strength, Hulk becomes increasingly powerful and ultimately emerges victorious. However, there was a time when Doctor Doom pitted Hulk against the Fantastic Four. At that moment, The Thing caught Hulk off guard and claimed victory.
Doctor Doom
Doctor Doom is not only a recurring villain for the Fantastic Four but has also forced Hulk to retreat at times. By manipulating Hulk’s mental signals, he once caused Hulk to lose his composure, allowing Doom to reclaim Latveria in Fantastic Four issue #320.
Fantastic Four
In issue #166 of the Fantastic Four, the team gathered and faced off against Hulk. Human Torch distracted Hulk momentarily, Mr. Fantastic held Hulk down, Invisible Woman created an energy barrier around Hulk’s head, preventing him from escaping. Meanwhile, The Thing took the opportunity to strike, eventually leading to Hulk’s defeat. It was a significant blow for Hulk, who was overwhelmed by the combined efforts of the four heroes.
Superman
It is widely known that the outcome of this fight would likely be Superman as the victor. The two iconic characters faced off in a crossover comic. In a 1996 event where the Marvel and DC universes collided, fans voted heavily for the Hulk vs. Superman battle.
Displaying their raw power, the two characters collided head-on, and ultimately, Superman emerged victorious.
Namo
Hulk remains one of the most powerful beings on Earth, often displaying overwhelming strength… However, he also has a weakness that makes him vulnerable in battle, which was notably exposed during his fight with Namo.
This detail occurs in Hulk #118, where Hulk makes a mistake by diving into the water to fight Namo. The result is that Namo pulls Hulk deeper, causing him to drown and transform back into Bruce Banner.
Spider-Man
There have been many instances where Spider-Man has fought alongside Hulk, but he often tries to avoid confrontation, preferring to stay out of trouble. In fact, Spider-Man has faced Hulk multiple times without intending to harm him.
However, in Amazing Spider-Man #328, when Hulk was in the form of Mr. Fixit, he was hired to eliminate Spider-Man. During their encounter at Roosevelt Island, Spider-Man managed to dodge Hulk’s attacks and escape into the night.
