However, on the evening of December 11, Coach Daeny suddenly became the center of a “drama” in the LPL region. It all started with a broadcast from Coach Kenzhu, who claimed that Daeny had repeatedly violated many principles in his coaching duties. Fans even discovered a video from Kenzhu where he insinuated that Daeny was secretly plotting strategies for the LCK to help that region win at the Worlds.
“I know some background stories and frankly, I don’t like Daeny at all. To me, he has issues with the principles of coaching, so I don’t appreciate him. He is currently creating a good impression, but once the truth is revealed, you’ll have to apologize to me because I warned you about this coach,” shared Coach Kenzhu.

Following Kenzhu’s “exposé,” Coach Daeny received a lot of backlash from LPL fans, but it was surprising when the situation turned around. As soon as Kenzhu’s statements were widely shared, many LPL fans felt that it was merely a “spiteful” rant from the RNG coach. The reason being that Coach Kenzhu has not yet officially been hired by any team while Coach Daeny is already a “veteran” returning to lead teams like IG.
Recently at the 2024 Worlds, Coach Daeny also had a humorous moment that quickly went viral. This moment showed that this coach genuinely hopes WBG achieves a stunning victory to claim glory at the Worlds. Clearly, with a dedicated individual like him on his team, it is difficult to believe that Coach Daeny is merely an “insider” for the LCK and is leaking strategies of LPL teams.
Thus, the doubts from LPL fans regarding Coach Kenzhu’s motives only serve to diminish the credibility that Coach Daeny has built up. As for Coach Daeny, he has yet to make any public statements that could cause controversy or contradict Kenzhu’s claims.
