Coach KkOma Officially Closes the Drama Surrounding T1
Following a decisive 2-0 victory against DNF recently, the T1 team has officially concluded its run in the Regular Seasons 2025 Round 1-2 with a record of 5 wins to 4 losses. This outcome is notably significant in light of T1’s recent struggles, facing various challenges throughout the season and still managing to secure a spot in the top 6 to continue competing for a spot at MSI 2025. However, T1’s coach KkOma has taken responsibility for the drama surrounding the team.
Specifically, in a post-match interview, Coach KkOma expressed his thoughts: “Since the start of the season, I have been quite intense in my role as a coach. From now on, I will be more composed to help the team improve.”

Fans Hope T1 Can Fully Regain Stability
This statement by the renowned coach could be seen as a closure to the ongoing turmoil surrounding T1, which has been marked by issues related to the relationship between the coach and the players, especially with ADC Gumayusi. The fans have witnessed several instances where T1 has struggled to perform cohesively, lacking confidence—an issue that has been particularly evident when Faker or other key players are absent. The recent decision to switch Smash into the main lineup, replacing Gumayusi in certain matches, has also sparked considerable controversy.

While Smash has potential, he has yet to demonstrate the necessary stability, whereas Gumayusi has been heavily impacted in terms of performance and morale due to these changes. The primary reason for this appears to be the internal pressure and the management style of Coach KkOma. The frequent lineup changes lack clear objectives during the initial stages of the season, leaving fans with a sense that T1 is lacking direction in its strategies and personnel decisions.
Although the victory against DNF was not flawless, it has shown that T1 is gradually regaining its footing. Coach KkOma is determined to prepare the team better for the upcoming stages and avoid letting internal tensions affect crucial decisions: “I believe if the team maintains composure and improvement, we will perform better in future matches.”

T1 will start their next match in the playoffs against KT Rolster at the LCK Home Ground in Suwon on May 4. This will also be an opportunity for them to rectify their previous home loss, especially since KT is considered one of the strongest teams in LCK in recent years.
