NetEase Unveils a New FPS Title
Following Tencent’s recent releases of Delta Force and Arena Breakout that have shaken the FPS gaming community, NetEase Games has swiftly entered the fray with their new blockbuster titled Project: Extreme. According to the latest information, Project: Extreme has officially been registered for publication in China and is listed under the title Extreme Battlefield. The successful application for publication license from the National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) on April 18, 2025, indicates that this thrilling game will soon enter a closed testing phase in the domestic market.

If players find Delta Force lacking, Project: Extreme will be a highly anticipated choice. According to the initial introduction, this is a survival shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world known as GC-083. In this environment, terrifying storms and time-space anomalies have fragmented the planet into unique territories, referred to as Void Zones. Players will assume the role of an investigator, tasked with uncovering the cause of the disaster while battling to survive against hostile entities, gathering valuable resources, and safely escaping to upgrade their essential gear.

When Will NetEase’s Project: Extreme Launch?
Although the official Wishlist on Steam has not yet opened, gameplay images have already been revealed, showcasing fast-paced survival gameplay and swift action mechanics. In a competitive FPS market, Project: Extreme still manages to create its own unique mark with its distinct Void Zones concept and deeply immersive environmental design.

According to sources, Project: Extreme will be launched in China on three platforms: Android, iOS, and PC. However, there is potential for the game to expand to additional platforms in the future based on positive feedback.
Currently, while NetEase has not issued any official announcements regarding the testing dates or broad release, the granted publication license indicates that the specialized gaming community could soon be buzzing with exciting news in the coming weeks.
