The first images from the movie The Legend of the Heavenly Sword, set to release in 2024, were announced by the production company on January 12. The character designs featuring actors like Duong Qua, Tieu Long Nu, Quach Tinh, and Hoang Dung have garnered significant attention from audiences.
The role of Tieu Long Nu is portrayed by the 2001-born actress Vuong Tu Thuan, who has received positive feedback for her portrayal. The actress has been praised for her beauty and grace, although she is noted to lack a certain ethereal quality. Fans are eager to see her performances on screen to provide a more objective assessment.
The 2000-born rising star has been in the spotlight since she was 15, known for her hot girl image. She is admired for her slender figure and elegant poise, while also possessing a touch of innocence. Before her film debut, Vuong Tu Thuan was already attracting attention, appearing in numerous advertisements.
With a passion for performing arts from a young age, Vuong Tu Thuan participated in acting training classes and auditioned for the Beijing Film Academy in 2020, where she ranked third in the talent show. She was dubbed the “Flower of the Academy.”
The male lead, Duong Qua, is played by the talented actor Trieu Hoa Vi. This 1998-born actor has a masculine appearance and gained acclaim through his role in the 2022 series The Legend of the Condor Heroes, where he showcased his impressive acting skills.
Previously, there was news about actor La Gia Luong taking on the role of Duong Khang, Duong Qua’s father, which led to mixed reactions, as this character only lives until the age of 20 in the narrative. Unfortunately, La Gia Luong will portray Quach Tinh in the 2024 film adaptation. In the 1994 version of The Legend of the Heavenly Sword, he made a mark with his role as Duong Khang, alongside actor Tran Tu Ham who played Hoang Dung. She had previously portrayed the character Quach Phu in the 2006 adaptation of The Legend of the Heavenly Sword.
In addition to the aforementioned actors, the following roles have been confirmed: Pho Mun as Ly Mac Sau, Dong Tuyen as Moc Niem Tu, Ly Tu Hung as Khau Xu Co, and Thich Ngan Nang as Kim Luan Phap Vuong.
