Before Gumayusi, several superstars from T1 such as Faker and Zeus were once labeled as “victims” by one of the most notorious anti-fan groups.
Recently, the anti-fan group, which has been assessed as one of the most dangerous in South Korea, continued to launch attacks against Gumayusi. Personal information about him, even the address of his family, has been leaked on social media. Following this, there were tanks, flowers… sent to the T1 headquarters as a form of protest, and it is claimed that they hope T1 fails in the playoffs and finals to create pressure to change their lineup.

After Gumayusi signed a contract with T1, this group shifted their focus to demanding changes regarding Zeus. They have conducted actions such as sending trucks to protest in front of the T1 headquarters to express their dissent, even hoping for T1’s failure in the playoffs and finals to pressure changes in the roster.

However, even when Zeus actually joined the team, this group still maintained their extreme hostility towards T1 and the new recruit from Hanwha Life Esports (HLE). Nonetheless, the aggressive attacks against Gumayusi remain the most frequent. Previously, according to some viewers, this group “crashed” T1 fan events by impersonating or using the names of players’ nicknames. However, these accounts later had comments wishing for T1 to lose games at the World Championship or even to keep Faker out.

Additionally, LCK fans also do not deny that this group does not support any team or player but tends to “anti” everyone they dislike. Therefore, this group has not received any particular support from the fan community, leading to a decision to shift from individual protests to collective action.

Extreme Actions Targeting Gumayusi and T1 Will Continue
Despite making many viewers feel uncomfortable as “fans of Faker,” the fact remains that the anti-fan group cannot be easily deterred. Moreover, even if Gumayusi leaves the team at the end of the season, there may still be another player who will continue to be targeted as a “victim.”

Despite numerous efforts to address the situation, many fans have openly criticized this extreme anti-fan group, making it clear that the situation has not yet changed. Moreover, if T1 does not take any strong measures, the players will continue to be labeled as “victims” while the “perpetrators” remain unchallenged.
