Anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Reaches an Exciting Climax in Its Final Battle
The first episode in the three-part Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc is set to deliver an exhilarating conclusion to the series. Audiences can expect breathtaking battles that have yet to be seen as the story takes an emotional turn.
As the Demon Slayer Corps invade Muzan’s lair, they will face some of the strongest demons ever known. This episode could feature a poignant confrontation between Tanjiro and Akaza, where Tanjiro finally avenges Kyojuro Rengoku. However, the arc takes an unexpected twist by introducing a new formidable demon that is surprisingly not Muzan.

A Major Twist in Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle Arc
In the Infinity Castle Arc, the Demon Slayer Corps invades the Infinity Castle, where Nakime reigns and serves as Muzan’s sanctuary. With the objective of locating and defeating Muzan, the Demon Slayers break into the castle. After several intense battles and significant losses, they finally corner Muzan. Meanwhile, Tanjiro and Tomioka manage to defeat Akaza, avenging Rengoku, who sacrificed himself in prior battles.
After Nakime is defeated in an unexpected twist, the castle begins to crumble. Muzan then escapes, while the remaining members of the Demon Slayer Corps continue their pursuit. During this time, Nezuko is waiting to regain her human form. The Demon Slayer Corps faces off against Muzan in a climactic battle. However, realizing imminent defeat, Muzan unleashes the strongest demon ever seen on stage.

The Strongest Demon Is Not Muzan
Muzan, faced with a dire situation, resorts to desperate measures to escape his impending doom. In a chilling transformation, he injects his blood into Tanjiro, turning him into a demon: the Demon Tanjiro. While Tanjiro appears to be fighting back against Muzan’s control, the internal struggle within him intensifies. Muzan tries to dominate Tanjiro’s mind and seize control of his newfound form.

Fortunately, Nezuko appears just in time, alongside the remaining Demon Slayers, helping Tanjiro resist Muzan’s influence. Tanjiro persistently fights back while confronting Muzan’s overwhelming power. Luckily, he had already received a special medicine before succumbing to the transformation.
It is evident that Tanjiro is not fully transformed into a demon yet, but his potential is frightening. Initially, the Demon Tanjiro is immune to sunlight, granting him a significant advantage over other demons exhibited in the series. He also possesses rapid regeneration capabilities. Moreover, he is highly powerful and adept at transforming into various forms, akin to Muzan.
If Tanjiro ultimately succumbs to his demon form, it is possible that he could surpass Muzan’s power if the Demon Slayer Corps does not act quickly enough.
Can the Demon Slayer Corps Defeat the Demon Tanjiro?

Giyu Tomioka has recognized that the immunity to sunlight from Tanjiro’s form will significantly enhance the effectiveness of the Nichirin sword against Muzan. Although not entirely invulnerable, this aspect has posed considerable challenges for the Demon Slayers. Given that the Demon Tanjiro has been showcased for a limited time, it remains a struggle for the Demon Slayer Corps to adapt to this new threat.
Only the legendary Yoriichi could potentially defeat Muzan, as even Muzan acknowledged that Tanjiro is not far off from Yoriichi’s demon-slaying ability. However, because Yoriichi has been gone for a long time, the Demon Slayers have been fortunate enough to have the temporary medicine to gain an advantage before facing a significant threat.
