“My biggest concern is the content. With the amount of manga left, there are about 11 – 12 hours of anime content, and it could end up being one long movie,” shared an enthusiastic fan on Reddit.
“I want one or two more seasons before concluding with a final movie released in theaters. Just like the previous battles with the Hashira and Muzan in three movies… it would be terrifying.” added another user.
This fan’s anxiety stems from the Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle. Currently, there is only one more movie left slated for release in the series, while a significant amount of manga content remains.

Specifically, the Haikyuu!! anime production has announced that the final part will be adapted into two theatrical films instead of a Season 5. These two films will be titled Haikyuu!! Final and are expected to fully adapt the concluding chapters of the original manga.
Prior to this announcement, many fans felt a sense of loss. The storyline of Haikyuu comprises 110 chapters, divided into five story arcs. The two theatrical films will only have a runtime of 5 – 6 hours, which is just enough to cover the entirety of the 110 chapters.
Some fans are concerned that Ufotable will not retain much of the material as they lack the complete adaptation of the manga.
“I don’t know what Production IG is doing with Haikyuu!!, as they have adapted too much content into films. But Ufotable is a studio that has earned trust in handling these films appropriately,” shared another user.
While a production timeline has yet to be established, Ufotable has previously made significant efforts to maintain consistency in Demon Slayer, aiming for a release in 2025, which appears to be quite ambitious.
