After becoming one of the most famous superheroes in DC Comics, actor Jason Momoa is set to embark on an entirely new adventure as he takes on the role of the antagonist in the blockbuster “Fast X.” Dante, the character portrayed by Momoa in the tenth installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, serves as a formidable counterpart to Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, marking a new challenge for the Hawaiian actor.

The storyline of Dante will take audiences back through the rich history of the franchise, specifically during the fifth film, when Dominic and his family faced off against a criminal organization in Brazil. However, what Dominic does not know is that he is up against the son of a character from the past who has witnessed events unfold and meticulously planned revenge over the years.
Beyond the expected narrative, Momoa’s character represents a significant threat to Dominic’s team, as he seeks to dismantle their operations and ensure that no one escapes unscathed: his goal is to defeat Dominic and settle the score. This promise of high stakes will undoubtedly lead to substantial repercussions within “Fast X,” and it is confirmed that the next installment will mark the final chapter of the “Fast & Furious” saga, according to the production company’s plan.
Following the legacy of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, Dante will be a pivotal character for the brand that has been thriving since 2001, creating a division among audiences. Recently, while promoting the film, director Louis Leterrier compared “Fast X” to the superhero film “Captain America: Civil War,” which also led audiences to choose sides between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark.
“This is truly the beginning of the end, the start of a significant battle between light and darkness. Everyone will choose a side. Viewers will have to decide whom they support,” Leterrier told Empire magazine.

Leterrier took over directing duties from Justin Lin, who departed due to creative differences. However, the screenplay was still penned by Lin and Dan Mazeau, with Lin remaining involved as a producer. Previously, Justin Lin had directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth installments of the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
Alongside Jason Momoa and returning star Vin Diesel, “Fast X” will feature a host of familiar faces including Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, John Cena, Jason Statham, and Scott Eastwood. Additionally, newcomers Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, and Alan Ritchson will make their franchise debuts.
The blockbuster “Fast X” is set to be released worldwide on May 19, 2023. The eleventh installment, which will also conclude the storyline of Dominic Toretto’s crew, is slated for release next year, as Universal Pictures is also considering several spin-off films.
