The world of Dragon Ball is known for a number of unique characteristics of its characters. However, one of the most notable quirks is that Krillin is the only character throughout the entire franchise who does not have any hair.
Other characters, especially like Goten and Videl, may have only a small amount of hair, but at least they still have some. Krillin’s face, on the other hand, is quite plain, lacking any hair between his mouth and eyes. Although there isn’t a specific reason explaining why Krillin is designed this way, over time, the distinctiveness of Dragon Ball has made audiences accustomed to his bald appearance. In fact, some may even forget this peculiar detail.
Recently, an artist known as FTW Studios shared some fan art on their Twitter account, imagining what Krillin might look like if he had hair.

This artist has used images of Krillin from both Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball FighterZ to enhance his character with the addition of hair. The hairstyle added fits perfectly with his facial features, although we still might feel a little surprised when seeing Krillin with hair.
Additionally, there’s another interesting detail in the artworks presented; while Krillin is depicted with hair, the hairstyles of Android 18 and Goku end up being “faded.” This reflects the artist’s intention to create a more objective comparison, illustrating how the absence of hair can significantly alter a character’s appeal.
Clearly, apart from Krillin’s unique case, characters with hair tend to look more appealing, while those without hair often have a less vibrant appearance.
So, what do you think about characters with and without hair? Feel free to share your thoughts!
