Since the release of the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in June 2022, Gohan Beast has consistently been a top contender in the community. In a statement from creator Akira Toriyama in promotional material for the film, Gohan Beast was described as the strongest character in the series. The power levels between Gohan and Goku have showcased this fact.

In their most powerful states, both Broly and Gohan are among the strongest characters in Dragon Ball. Thus, it becomes a challenge to portray them as the ultimate forces when considering Goku and Vegeta, despite Gohan still being in the process of further development.
