Searching for images or illustrations that have never been publicly released featuring characters from Dragon Ball is always an exciting experience for fans. Although the work of Akira Toriyama has been around for more than 40 years, finding new representations of these characters in the form of figures or warriors is still quite rare.
In this article, we will discuss the two most prominent characters in Dragon Ball: Frieza and Cell. Specifically, we will explore two alternate versions of these characters that have never been seen in films released outside of Japan, as they only appeared in Japan.

These unique forms of Frieza and Cell debuted in a live show event for Dragon Ball in Japan around 1997, during the peak popularity of Dragon Ball GT. In this stage show, the characters were portrayed by actors in costumes, and a special segment featured these alternate versions of Cell and Frieza that had never been seen before.
Though they were brief appearances, these versions of Cell and Frieza had many distinct features compared to their original forms. A user on platform X, known as @Sr_Kob, has even creatively transformed these live show versions into vibrant illustrations, bringing them to life as if they were stepping out of the anime.

Cell and Frieza, the two iconic antagonists of Dragon Ball, not only embody immense power capable of destruction but also leave a lasting impression on fans due to their striking appearances. While Cell is a bio-engineered Android created from the genes of the strongest warriors in the universe (including Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo…), Frieza is an extraterrestrial tyrant who rules the universe, dominating Vegeta and is ready to annihilate anyone who gets in his way.
