The manga series Sakamoto Days by Yuto Suzuki has been announced for an anime adaptation set to debut in the Fall 2025 season. The story revolves around Taro Sakamoto, a former hitman who was once considered the deadliest assassin in history.
However, Taro has retired from the dangerous life after marrying Aoi. Now, he leads a peaceful life with his wife and daughter, managing a convenience store. He teams up with Shin in the first chapter and hires him as a sales associate after a series of chaotic events. The anime has already released two episodes, introducing the main characters and the development of the storyline.
In the previous episode, we meet Lu Xiaotang, the daughter of a family from the San Huang district. She coincidentally encounters Taro and Shin while running for her life in a high-risk situation. A group of assassins is pursuing her in hopes of finding a hidden treasure that her father had left behind due to his previous criminal activities. After a hard-fought battle, Lu joins Shin as a sales associate.
The second episode concludes with a tense cliffhanger when a group named JAA offers a high bounty on Taro’s head. Viewers are introduced to Yoichi Nagumo, a character who will play a significant role in the upcoming third episode, making him one of the most notable figures in the Sakamoto Days series.
What Can We Expect from Sakamoto Days Episode 3?
With Taro receiving a new bounty on his head, several assassins will be after him for the reward. However, before Taro faces these threats, an assassin named Nagumo has already arrived to warn him of the impending danger.
Before his appearance in the anime, Nagumo had already gained a large following among fans. He will continue to be an ally to the Sakamoto family.
Taro may have left his assassin life behind, but he still possesses essential skills to confront his enemies. However, he will encounter difficulties when he must fight against several killers who may target his family. His tranquil life may end abruptly due to the persistent threats surrounding his household.
Additionally, the preview image reveals Shin currently engaged in a battle with an unknown opponent in the local amusement park. Taro and his family are out shopping, but the peaceful day could turn into chaos as threats loom large. To ensure the safety of Taro’s wife and daughter, Shin must overcome his limitations against a formidable enemy.
