Faker Reveals T1’s Strongest Lineup
In the world of League of Legends, the ZOFGK lineup of T1 is regarded as the most exceptional. However, the team did not debut at the same time it emerged in this competitive season (LCK Summer 2021). Notably, ZOFGK is the only lineup in the history of League of Legends to hold the title in two consecutive World Championships without any change in personnel before successfully defending its championship.

However, according to Faker shared after the LCK Awards 2024 ceremony, the current lineup of 2023 and 2024 is not the strongest. Faker expressed: “Although this year we have been fortunate to receive accolades, I believe 2023 was when we achieved our best condition. Overall, this year the team has not reached the competitive level we hoped for.”
Faker’s observations have also garnered significant attention from T1’s remaining members, including Gumayusi and Oner. Specifically, Keria noted that 2023 was the best year for the ZOFGK lineup as well as the year when their championship capabilities were most prominently displayed.

Faker’s Assessment is Based on Facts
It can be said that in 2022, T1 exhibited a breathtaking performance. In fact, leading up to the 2022 World Championship finals, many fans still believed T1 would lose to Royal Never Give Up at MSI, attributing it merely to “bad luck” and the influence of subjective factors. During the Spring and Summer Splits, T1 maintained a remarkable dominance, almost reaching perfection.

The only thing is, T1’s 2022 lineup always lacked a decisive factor in the “heavenly – earthly – humane” balance required to secure the championship. Ultimately, everything achieved in 2022 culminated in just one championship title during the Spring Split. After that, T1 was considered a strong contender in all tournaments they participated in throughout the year.

The 2023 – 2024 season can be said to have returned T1 to its “glory days.” With the recent lineup changes, fans are eagerly waiting to see how the new T1 lineup will perform in the upcoming season.
