Faker Experiences “Shock” After Joining the North American Server
Recently, teams competing for a berth in MSI 2025 have begun their “boot camp” on the North American server to practice and familiarize themselves with the new environment at this vital venue located in Canada. However, the North American server is notoriously known for its toxic players and game disruption, as well as rank disparities. Just recently, Faker had some “unforgettable” experiences on this server when he played his first ranked games.

According to reports, the champion Annie was used to assist T1 “sold” the match against HLE, yet Faker had to endure a tough defeat with a KDA of 1/7/3. During that match, he even struggled to secure a kill against Aurora, the opposing team that had been dominating for some time. Not only did Faker face challenges, but his entire team also “fed” relentlessly, which was the main reason for their ranking setback.

However, Faker Quickly Adapted After the Setback
Despite the crushing defeat, Faker quickly regained his usual form and achieved five consecutive wins. Notably, he also utilized Zed and Jayce in the Mid Lane, securing several wins with great pressure. Of course, every match required careful attention to the opposing team and the current meta. With the Fearless Draft, Faker needed to adjust more than ever, focusing on champions that could make plays (such as Ahri, Galio, Sylas, Azir…) as required in the current situation.

T1’s journey at MSI 2025 is considered quite challenging, even though they are currently seen as strong contenders for the championship title after their recent match against HLE in the final round of Road to MSI. More than anyone, Faker understands the fierce competition of MSI and is undoubtedly eager to reclaim this title, which he last held nearly a decade ago.
