One Piece: A Legendary Manga Series
One Piece is known as one of the longest-running manga series, yet it ranks just after Detective Conan, created by Gosho Aoyama. Detective Conan has been published in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994, continuing for a remarkable 30 years up to the present day. After three consecutive decades of publication, this detective manga will cease to run indefinitely after appearing in Weekly Shonen Sunday #42. This edition will include Detective Conan File 1133, scheduled for release on September 11, 2024.

With the title ‘The Dark Red Last Act’, this chapter marks the commencement of the end for the manga’s legacy.
While we may not know when Detective Conan will return, it is possible that the series will make a comeback at some point, as the story has not yet concluded.
As expected, readers are quite saddened by the indefinite suspension of this famous detective manga, but they understand the reasoning behind it. Particularly considering the long span of the series’ publication, one fan commented on this news: “It’s disappointing to see it come to an end, but I understand why.”
Another reader expressed: “Gosho Aoyama, please ensure the quality and finish the story properly.”
“So, has Gosho started to slow down towards the end of his career?”, one fan remarked.

The story of Detective Conan begins with the teenage detective Shinichi Kudo and his childhood friend Ran Mouri at an amusement park. While pursuing two criminals from a mysterious organization, Shinichi was poisoned and shrank into the body of a first grader.
Previously, in 2019, Gosho Aoyama had responded to questions regarding the conclusion of Detective Conan. The author indicated a desire to end the series in volume 100, and the conclusion had already been decided. Subsequently, volume 100 was published in 2021, but the ongoing publication has continued to leave fans increasingly curious about the story’s ending.
