Berserk’s Black Swordsman Adaptation Announced

The development team recently introduced their project, stating: “We aspire to create a 2D adaptation that captivates those enthralled by the gripping stories that have transcended this medium, starting from the very beginning.” This initiative aims to adapt the entirety of the Black Swordsman arc from the series Berserk, which will begin after the Golden Age arc.
The 1997 Berserk Anime
The 1997 anime of Berserk did cover the beginning of this arc but was significantly cut down. It only included a portion of the introductory arc of the Black Swordsman, dealing primarily with themes of violence and altering various details of the story.
Faithful Adaptation of the Original Story
The adaptation by the development team intends to authentically recreate the narrative of the original manga series while staying true to the source material. This approach aims to avoid any limitations on accuracy.

Support for the Project
Support for this adaptation comes from the studio’s Twitter account, where a post showcased an image of Guts alongside a character referred to as “The Beast” in a stylized form. A famous scene that did not appear in previous adaptations is now being revisited, as the Eclipse scenario is being meticulously crafted to present a faithful narrative. All fans of Berserk are eagerly anticipating this incredible project from the development team.
