Previously, when Fox announced that the third film featuring the iconic Wolverine character (currently titled Wolverine 3) would be classified as an R-Rated film (restricted for viewers due to violence and inappropriate language), fans were extremely excited. The strong action elements present in the film are expected to make this installment feel significantly more authentic.
Some images from the newly titled film Logan have been revealed, including one showing a severed arm that is still holding onto a weapon, which has created a strong impression on viewers, showcasing the serious tone the filmmakers are adopting in refusing to shy away from the fact that Logan will indeed be an R-Rated film.
However, alongside the excitement surrounding the new direction of this Wolverine series, fans are also worried that the film might face restrictions, especially regarding its release in Vietnam. There is a growing concern that the film may be subject to censorship, particularly since previous Marvel films like Captain America: Civil War, which was rated PG-13 in the U.S., faced a restriction of not being suitable for viewers under 16 in Vietnam.
This concern among fans is not unfounded, as the regulations and censorship practices for foreign films in Vietnam remain quite strict. Given that films like Logan will likely face scrutiny, it is understandable why audiences are apprehensive about how much of the original content will be preserved after passing through the censorship process.
Despite these concerns, it is important not to worry too much, as seen with Deadpool, which was also rated R-Rated yet managed to retain its content and appeal to audiences in Vietnam. Fans are hopeful that Logan will be able to achieve the same.
Logan is scheduled to be released starting March 3, 2017.
