My Hero Academia (MHA) may have concluded last year, but the legacy it leaves behind is incredibly vast. The ending, while satisfying, also left many fans surprised when Deku began to assume the role of a hero instead of just a sidekick. However, when Deku finally embraces his role as a true hero, fans erupted in joy. Nevertheless, even so, Deku still has a long way to go before he can be recognized as the strongest hero in the world. Recently, the additional content of MHA has officially revealed the identity of the mightiest hero.
The Next Generation of Heroes: Who Will Lead the Charge?

The world of My Hero Academia is always filled with powerful heroes. Previous generations have showcased incredible characters like All Might, who is still recognized as the greatest hero of all time.
After the final battle, a new generation of professional heroes has emerged. All students from Class 1A have stepped up to become heroes, except for Deku, who has been absent for about eight years. Deku lost his strength after the war, making it impossible for him to continue his path as a hero. Fortunately, a special suit was designed for him, allowing Deku to continue his career as a professional hero.
Currently, Deku holds the 4th place in the rankings of professional heroes, a position he has yet to reach. The top three positions have been revealed by Horikoshi as Mirio, Todoroki, and Mt. Lady. However, none of them can truly claim the title of the strongest hero.
The Title of the Strongest Hero Belongs to… Bakugo!
Bakugo has always been a central character throughout the My Hero Academia series. He played a crucial role in the final battle, where he faced off directly against All For One. Despite possessing immense power, Bakugo has faced numerous challenges in his professional hero career, mainly due to his fiery personality that often leads him into conflict.

Unfortunately, Bakugo’s aggressive personality has not helped his ranking much. This explains why his initial rank of 4 has dropped to 15. However, alongside Deku’s rise in the professional hero career, Bakugo has worked even harder and is now ranked 5th.
In fact, the ranking of heroes does not necessarily reflect their true strength. Although currently positioned 5th, Bakugo is indeed the strongest hero in the My Hero Academia storyline. The only character who might surpass him in strength is Deku with One For All or through some special abilities.
Horikoshi has confirmed that Bakugo is the strongest hero in the MHA Ultra Age Fanbook. The fanbook describes Bakugo as follows:
“A boy who yearns to become a hero. He is a fiery and passionate character but possesses an innate talent for combat. He often feels a strong sense of rivalry with his childhood friend Izuku due to Izuku’s rapid development, yet he gradually recognizes Izuku’s capabilities. After graduation, he becomes a top hero under Jeanist’s mentorship and eventually achieves independence. His abilities are said to be on par with or even surpassing Lemillion, but he cannot escape his brazen behavior and is constantly striving for excellence. When collaborating with others, his reputation quietly grows. He is often favored by high-ranking heroes.”
This revelation is sure to excite many Bakugo fans, highlighting his incredible strength within the world of My Hero Academia.
